[Lsf-announce] NIU homecoming

Greetings everybody!
 
As you hopefully have marked on your calendar, NIU's homecoming is
October 21st.  This year is special because it is both the 100th
homecoming for NIU as well as the 150th year of DeKalb's existence.
There will be a "communiversity parade" at 10am that Saturday morning in
which will we have a float !  Both our congregational ministry as well
as our campus ministry will be reflected on the float, so come and see
us in the parade. Then stick around and enjoy the football game.  After
the game (approximately 5:30 pm) we will host a free Barbecue
(hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.) at the church.  Come see old friends, meet
some alumni from other eras and see what is currently going on with
campus ministry at Immanuel.
 
Current students as well as all alumni and any others who have been
involved with this ministry are invited. Students, feel free to invite
parents, alumni, please feel free to bring your children and spouses.  A
good time will be had by all!
I also have a fun video to show (fairly short) highlighting the
importance of campus ministry synod wide, yet profiling several of our
current student leaders.

up to these days.  And if you know of other alumni who did not get this
email, PLEASE pass it on to them.
