[LSF-Announce] big events for the end of the year

hey all,

 

It is hard to believe that the school year is wrapping up, but we are
only a few weeks away!

Next Sunday (April 22) is" Refuge Sunday" at church.  This means that
the college group will be doing all the parts of the worship services
(both 8 am and 10:30.)  most of the speaking roles have been handed out,
but we would like every body to be involved. If you would like a
speaking role (lesson, liturgy, etc.) please let me know ASAP.
Otherwise we need many people to serve as greeters and ushers.  please
let me know if you can do any of those tasks. if you have a speaking
part, please attend the rehearsal on Saturday the 21st at noon, we need
to run through both services and the skit.

I hope we'll have a good showing of refuge people serving God that
Sunday.

 

Then... We are accepting applications for peer minister for the fall
semester.  interviews are going to be on Tuesday May 1st.  If you need
more information about being a peer minister please contact me or speak
to one of the current PM's.  Please submit applications by Friday April
27th.

 

Finally (well not really, but Nikki does such a good job with the weekly
emails, i don't want to step on her toes... she'll up date you on the
rest of the activities except for this one.. this one is mine!)

Graduation breakfast!!! Every year we recognize those who are graduating
that year with a breakfast at 9:15 am (adult Bible classes are canceled
so congregation members can attend.)  You are not put on the spot, but
are introduced to the congregation and thanked for your involvement with
our church during your year(s) here. Even if you only came on Sunday
morning , you are part of our family and we want to recognize you.  We
also recognize and thank our peer ministers for their hard work as well.
It is a fun time and worth attending, no matter what year you are.  come
show your support!  and grads, feel free to invite family.
