[LSF-Announce] This Week at Refuge

Hey All,

As promised, here's the detailed schedule for this semester's activities,
social events, etc.  I have to go to class in 15 minutes, so let's get to
business. We have a lot going on this semester, and as always, please come
to us with any suggestions for social or service events, Bible study topics,
favorite color, whatever.

*Mondays*: This semester, Mondays are just open lounge night.  Come anytime
from 6-10.

*Tuesdays*: Pastor-led Bible study on Luke, 9:00.  Tonight we'll have pizza
and pop (or soda, if you're one of those weirdos who calls it that).

*Wednesdays*: Women's Bible Study.  We'll be meeting at the church at 8:00
and going to an undisclosed location from there.  This semester, we'll be
looking at The Screwtape Letters, also by C.S. Lewis.  I would really
encourage any women interested at all to come tomorrow at least, so we can
hammer out schedules, details, social event possibilities, etc.  *Guys will
have a study during this time as well!* Will and Justin will be leading a
Bible study on one of Paul's letters for a few weeks.  So if you're male,
come on over to the church at 8:00 for that.  This is also our "open
discussion" type of night, so guys, if there's something you'd like to lead
a discussion/study/whatever on, let us know.

*Thursdays*: Bible study on REVELATION! Led by Jenna and Mitch at the church
at 9:00. Let's be honest here, nobody really knows what this book means, at
least not for sure.  So come Thursday to discuss possibilities.

*Fridays*: This semester, Fridays will be open social event/service event
nights.  This Friday, we'll meet at the church at 7:00 and head to the
Huskie Den from there for a hot game of bowling. (or pool, if you're so
inclined. DDR fans welcome, but we may mock you.)


*February 4*: Superbowl Party, detaiils to come.  And of course, the Bears
will be playing, so you'll want to be around for that.

Also, *Dr. Sons* (some of you may be blessed enough to have already met
her), our advisor from the congregation, a math professor here, and an
all-around wise, fun woman, will be leading a Bible study starting next
week.  Mondays nights (I think?) at 7:00.  The title is "Intimacy with the
Almighty."

Some of you may also be blessed enough to know *Barney Schroeder*, our
resident DCE.  Again, a very wise, fun person.  He'll be leading a Bible
study on Mondays, beginning next Monday. I'm not sure of the topic, but if
you're interested, let me know and I'll find out.
