[LSF-Announce] Refuge Christmas Party!

Hey All,

The announcements have been sporadic this semester (my apologies), but
there's a decent amount you might want to keep in mind in the next few
weeks. Here goes:

FIRST, tonight (Monday, Nov. 26) there will be no lounge hours. Nor will
there be any this coming Sunday. Other than that, all is as usual, with the
exception of finals week.
During finals, the lounge will have extended hours: Sunday-Thursday,
6:00-midnight. If you need a place to study/write/relax, you know where to
stop!

The other big event is the CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!!!!!!! This year, we'll be
having it on Thursday, Dec. 6 (not sure on the time yet) at O'Leary's Irish
Pub and Grill (downtown, on Lincoln Highway--best chicken strips in DeKalb).
The Christmas party is usually a dress-up event (business casual or its
equivalent). I'm wearing a dress, if that's a guide for any of you girls.
Guys, you never actually pay attention to what you're wearing, so I don't
think you need my advice. There will be a sign-up in the lounge if you want
to attend. There is no cost.

Monday, Nov. 26: No lounge hours, women's Bible study social event! We'll
leave the church at 7:00 and go to a hidden location (which involves food)
from there.

Tuesday, Nov. 27: Pastor-led Bible study at 9:00

Wednesday, Nov. 28: Popcorn Bible study.  We'll meet at the church at 9:00.
This week, instead of a Bible study, we've got a brief service event. I have
posters from the WeCare Pregnancy Center in DeKalb, which encourages women
to carry their babies to term, discourages abortions, provides counseling
and support for women with unwanted pregnancies, etc. We need to get these
put up all over campus, and it's almost the end of the semester, so COME!

Thursday, Nov. 29: Lounge hours with John and Matt from 6:00-10:00. (Sounds
like a comedy routine, doesn't it?)

Suday, Dec. 2: Worship at 8:00 and 10:30. This Sunday is also O-Leary's
Sunday for Refuge.  Go to O'Leary's anytime Sunday, tell your server your
from Refuge at Immanuel Lutheran, and a portion of your sales will return to
Refuge. There's a pretty good group going after church on Sunday, and we
won't be having pancakes this Sunday, so you should join us!

Monday, Dec. 3: Lounge hours, no Women's Bible study,

Tuesday, Dec. 4: Pastor-Led Bible study at 9:00

Wed., Dec. 5: Popcorn Bible study at 9:00

Thurs., Dec. 6: Christmas Party at O'Leary's!
