[LSF-Announce] spring break trip

hey all.
 
it is time to start planning for our spring break servant trip.
The dates this year are Saturday March 8- Sunday March 16th.  We will
leave from the church early on Saturday and return in the evening of the
16th.
We will be returning to Chauvant Louisiana and work with the group
called "Bayou Grace"  http://www.bayougrace.org/ 
they have all the building materials for us to work on new home
constructions as well as repairs on existing homes.  The construction
supervisor will be working with us and supervising and training us so no
prior construction experience is needed, but if you have skills... we'll
put them to use.
 
I encourage you to check out the web site of Bayou Grace to learn more
about the work being done in this incredibly poor and hard hit part of
our nation.  There is no doubt we will be able to make a difference down
there.
 
The cost will about $100 (paid up front) with me giving some money back
to you for "fun" stuff in Memphis on our return trip.  Meals for most of
the trip are covered, except for a few while travelling ( it takes two
days to drive down and we stop at fast food places on the way... you
cover those 4-5 meals).  The church treats for a meal in Memphis on
Saturday night at the best BBQ rib place in the nation.  All other costs
are pick up by the campus ministry.
On the way down we will spend the night in Hernando Mississippi, just
south of Memphis in a Methodist church.

his neediest children!
A sign up will be going up in the lounge soon.. the sooner you can
commit, the easier it makes it on our planning.
