[LSF-Announce] Fwd: praying for you all

Hey All,
Below is a message from a VA Tech student. It did me a lot of good. I hope
it does the same for you.



 Hey fellow believers,



I've scoured the internet and found as many email addresses of you Christian
leaders at NIU as I could find, so I will go ahead and apologize for the
mass email.  I'm Josh, I'm a senior at Virginia Tech, and I'm the current
student leader of an organization here called vtONE <http://www.vt-one.org/>.
I read the news as I was sitting in lab tonight; our university president,
Dr. Steger, issued an email to the campus informing us of this incident.



I'm dumbstruck.  It's so similar to what we experienced…and yet so
different, with different lives involved, different hearts and souls.  But
to think that you all are about to go through the same things we did here…no
way.  No way.  I would trade anything if you guys just could be spared of
the same hurt that we have felt.  God's original plan was not to have us
experience pain.  It sucks, it is absolutely rotten.  Yet at the same time,
we're called to recognize God in all things?  That he would bring good to
all those who love him?  It's SO hard during this time.  Please know that
you have my utmost sympathy.



I'd like to just leave you all with a word of encouragement: the body of
Christ at Virginia Tech is praying for you.  There's already a prayer
gathering set for tomorrow morning; I've done everything in my power to pass
this on to every campus minister and fellowship listserv I know of.  I pray
that God would hear us in this time, and I pray that amidst this insane
thunderstorm of life you all would still see God and feel that He is near.
The Lord is never far from His children that are suffering; I can testify to
that firsthand.



Please, please let us know if we can be of any help at all, if you'd like to
pass on specific prayer requests, or anything.  God bless you all, as we
hope and pray.
